Honor's Destiny Reviews |

5 Stars Gifted Yolonda Greggs reveals a loving romance, real characters with human frailties and an insightful view of a crippling disorder in her first novel HONOR’S DESTINY Ms. Greggs’s vivid descriptions of the interaction between the characters are so clear that I felt myself right there observing them. The feelings portrayed are those of real people not a fairytale romance. This is life at its worse and at its best. I was very impressed by Ms. Greggs’s compassionate handling of anorexia in HONOR’S DESTINY. She gives a very valid society concern a face and sensibly offers hope not an unrealistic cure all. Kudos for Yolonda Greggs and her awe inspiring book HONOR’S DESTINY; a must read. --CataRomance

4+ (exceptional) LASHONDA EL, ROMANCE IN COLOR REVIEW: Level-headed agency executive Nicolas Morgan has had a crush on fashion model Honor McIntyre since they first met. The problem is he has a strict rule against dating his employees. So when Honor decides she was tired of the modeling business and retires, Nicolas sees his chance to go after what he wants. But Honor has secrets she isn’t ready to reveal to Nicolas. While Honor is dealing with her secret the best way she can, Nicolas finds himself in temporary custody of his young nephew. As Nicolas and Honor become closer Nicolas is forced to make a decision about his relationship with Honor that will affect the rest of their lives.
HONOR’S DESTINY progresses in a steady pace with the heroine and hero trying to get to know each other better while dealing with the glitches in their own lives. From the beginning to end the characters leave you spellbound and the sparks that fly between Honor and Nicolas jump off the pages.
Both Honor and Nicolas are fascinating characters that hold the readers interest all through the story. Honor overcomes her dilemma with a problem she has been dealing with since childhood and it makes her a strong and dependable sister, daughter and friend. Nicolas also has overcome difficulty in the past and is dealing with a crisis that involves his sister and nephew. These predicaments that are conquered make for both solid and resilient characters. They make the reader fall in love showing their vulnerabilities and strengths that make them who they are. The dialogue in HONOR’S DESTINY is very realistic and straight-forward. The conversations between the characters leave readers experiencing a kind of normalcy they can relate to.
HONOR’S DESTINY is Yolonda Greggs’s debut novel and brings with it the promise of much greatness to come. This book deals with obstacles real people live through and have a hard time dealing with. Ms. Greggs handles these situations in an honest and very lifelike manner. I would recommend this book to anyone who believes in the true love and its powers. Great job Ms. Greggs!!
